DCDC YOUTH SHOTGUN TEAM
The Duke City Duck Club Youth Shotgun Team is officially recongnized by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Youth Shotgun Program and follows the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s AIM program guidelines.

Practice:
The Duke City Duck Club Youth Shotgun Team holds practice for all age classifications on Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. at the Albuquerque Trap Club. Practice times are subject to change, please contact coaches to check on the weekly schedule.
Age Classification:
Classification by age group for AIM tournaments are as follows:
- 11 and under – Presub
- 12-14 – Sub-Junior
- 15-18 – Junior
NM Department of Game & Fish Objective:
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Youth Shotgun Program seeks to introduce a new generation of kids to shotgun shooting sports through safety training, basic wing-shooting techniques, practice and competition. The purpose of this program will serve as a component of the Department’s Recruitment and Retention Effort.
The purpose of AIM is to provide a safe and positive experience with firearms and registered trapshooting for youth, elementary school through college age. AIM encourages good sportsmanship and personal responsibility through competition while establishing the foundation to make trapshooting a lifelong avocation.
