Defending his 2010 New Mexico State Duck Calling Championship title, Ryan Garrett put together three winning rounds on his custom DOA Game Call and took home the trophy once again.

ALBUQUERQUE– He planned to sit out this year, but the thrill of the competition was just too great.Defending his 2010 New Mexico State Duck Calling Championship title, Ryan Garrett put together three winning rounds on his custom DOA Game Call and claimed the 2011 title, taking home the coveted trophy once again.
The competition, held on stage at the New Mexico Department of Game New Mexico Outdoor Expo at the Albuquerque Shooting Range Park, drew the state’s top callers and was the official qualifier for the World’s Championship in 2010 inStuttgart, Arkansas. Garrett will represent the State of New Mexico at that contest in November.
“Last year I went to Stuttgartand felt like more of a spectator than a contestant. Not this year,” said Garrett. “ This year I know what to expect and I’m planning to seriously compete with the world’s best. “
The Duke City Duck Club Albuquerque Chapter of Delta Waterfowl, The Albuquerque Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and Tanglefree Waterfowl sponsored the event this year. DOA is a New Mexico owned waterfowl game call company and has been the winning call the past three years.
